Invisalign Clear Aligners

Crooked and misaligned teeth are very common. Over time you may notice your teeth overlapping and become more crowded. Crooked teeth can make people feel self-conscious and can also affect the health of your teeth and gums, as it is more challenging to keep them clean. In the past the only way to correct crooked teeth was with the treatment of unsightly ‘train tracks’, but we are happy to say the technology has moved on and we can now offer an alternative to correct crooked teeth using Invisalign.

What is Invisalign?

Worn by over 5 million people around the world, Invisalign uses a series of custom made, clear aligners to help gently move teeth into the right position. As you change each aligner, you will notice your teeth moving little by little, week by week, until they are in the desired position as prescribed by your dentist.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

  • Unlike conventional metal braces, Invisalign is discreet and nearly invisible, so no one will even know you are straightening your teeth.
  • Invisalign is removable so it fits in with your lifestyle, you can take them out to eat and drink, however the aligners must be worn for 22 hours a day
  • Invisalign uses technology to create a virtual 3D treatment plan, so you can see an estimate of how straight your teeth will look after treatment.

How does Invisalign work?

Custom-made to move your teeth little by little, Invisalign works accurately, gently and efficiently:

    • Accurate - with Invisalign treatment, your teeth are straightened using a pair of transparent aligners which are custom-moulded to the exact shape of your teeth using 3D computer imaging.
    • Gentle - every fortnight the aligners are replaced by the next pair in the series so that your teeth are gradually moving and straightening without pain or discomfort.
    • Efficient - the use of aligners exerts a controlled force on the teeth at different stages in the process, which means that only certain teeth will be allowed to move quickly and efficiently.

How long does Invisalign take?

Treatment time varies from patient to patient, but on average ranges from 6-18 months. Your dentist will assess your mouth and give you an estimate finish date, this may vary depending on how well your teeth move.

How much does it cost?

Invisalign starts from £3000. You will be provided with a full treatment plan, and written quote, once you have had a clinical assessment with our Invisalign dentist - Dr Anneka Nicholls.
